REST IN PEACE
Sabah lost an iconic athlete with the passing of former national goalkeeper and sports administrator Peter Rajah.
Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan said Peter was a dedicated and passionate sportsman who was a source of inspiration for many.
“It’s a great loss for the state as he was still serving with the Sports Board under the ministry," he said of Peter who was the Sandakan Sports Complex manager.
He represented the state from 1972 to 1993 and was a member of the national team that qualified for the 1980 Olympics in Moscow.
Peter suffered a heart attack two days ago and was under intensive care at the Duchess of Kent Hospital before he passed away at about 6.20am.
